Another factor you need to take into consideration, when you choose the tyres for your car, is the season. There are tyres that can be used throughout the year, but in some climatic zones it is better to use specific tyres. However, although they have good performances in any season, they do not reach the excellent levels of winter or summer tyres. Summer tyres, which can be used all year long, if the climatic conditions of the place where you live are not too extreme and allow you to do that, and above all if tyres are well-kept and have not been used too much, assure an excellent grip and high performances on dry soil. Winter tyres are perfect when you travel on frozen or covered with snow streets. Thus they are necessary if you travel in zones where winter is hard, and they are usually to be mounted in November and replaced at the end of March. In case of snow, winter tyres are very useful if they are not used-up, otherwise they lose their effectiveness on both wet and dry soil. Keep also in mind that winter tyres can change the car behavior and its road grip on dry soil.
